Rejuvenating Your Tree Collards

Tree Collards can be pruned back to just as branch and will sprout new leaves. Here, I pruned back one of our tree collards in early February and you can see how rapidly the new growth comes back below where a cut has been made.

  1. Are they permanent plants? They look really handy.

  2. Yes. They are perennial collards – and have the highest calcuim content of all collard greens.
